Mythical Journeys
I'd like to pander a moment of your time, if I may.

I am the co-coordinator of a wonderful spiritual event called Mythical Journeys. Its website is here. It is a unique opportunity to study closely with some of the East Coast's more well known presenters on topics that are close to their heart. You spend four days living, eating, and learning core skillsets from them, with lots of personal attention and interaction.

We have some wonderful tracks that are a little lower in registration than we'd like, so it would mean a great deal to me (and to the track organizers) if you could take a moment and see if any of these offerings call out to you. Registration has been extended through Sunday night so you can get a last minute to commit to changing your life, your rituals, and your perspectives in a deep and meaningful way.

Answering the Call of the Divine: Sacred Service

House of Babylon: Erotic Temple Work

In the Garden of the Beloved: Sacred Romancy

Sacred Storytelling

Weaving the World: The Art and Magic of Manifestation

Of course, you can choose to register for any of our tracks and that would make us very happy; these in particular are quality offerings that could use a few more registrations to make them sing.

If you have any questions about these or anything else related to Mythical Journeys, please feel free to comment here or email me at queendelirium at yahoo dot com.

Thank you for your time.

Delaware Valley Pagan Gardening Meetup

The time is now, good-hearted pagans, to pitch in and help contribute our share to the DVPN/Phactory Community Center! The Phactory is located at 1828 E. Somerset Street. That's less than a block from the Somerset station on the Frankford El. By auto, it is about one mile from either the Girard Avenue or Allegheny Avenue exits from I-95. Precise directions available if you need them.We are restoring the courtyard of this historical industrial space for use as a community garden, ritual space, and performance space. As the Phactory restoration project continues, we will continue to be involved in helping to open this center to the Delaware Valley Pagan community.

Pagan gardening workday for the community center
Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 10:00AM

For this work date, we need at least two sets of workers.GARDENERS must study this walled courtyard and develop a harmonious plan to tend it, using available urns and other tools. They need to form a collective that exchanges information and oversees that basic tasks are carried out.WOODCHUCKS are needed to chuck wood: 1,000 huge handfuls of illicitly-dumped trash, mostly wood debris, must be removed from part of this courtyard. And much more! Want to do something else? Have other skills/resources? Just email me! Thanks!

1st DVPN Garden Workday report, next workday sunday 27th April
Here's a few quotes and details regarding a report of our first courtyard and community garden workday at the Phactory site.  People from all walks of life came down to get involved in the community garden/space phase of the project. Consisting largely of members of DVPN, and a few others -- people came from all over philly, the burbs, and even as far as central jersey..

Our next workday is Sunday the 27th of April.  There are many ways to participate.  If you want to see the Please Take Materials Exchange reborn, it is imperative that you get involved to help make it happen! Please RSVP to me if you intend to come on Sunday and pitch in.  Every little bit helps!  If you are unable to attend on scheduled work days, but still want to be involved, feel free to email me, there are many different ways to lend a hand.

This is just a reminder that I am raising money for DELAWARE VALLEY PAGAN NETWORK INC and would really welcome your support.

I'm actively supporting the Delaware Valley Pagan Network, Inc / Phactory, LLC Community Garden Project Our goal is to transform an abandoned factory lot into an urban oasis. The site is over 30,000 square feet of open space, right in the heart of Kensington. Along with the Phactory building itself, this site will be a gathering place for local community groups. The site will include a mix of practical urban agriculture along with more artistic landscapes to feed the body, mind and spirit .

Project Goals include:
-Sustainable landscaping
-Use of pollinators and companion planting
-Use of recycled materials
-Organic growing practices
-Water conservation and correction of stormwater runoff
-Use of solar power

PHILADELPHIA WILL JOIN DOZENS OF OTHER COMMUNITIES across America in celebrating pagan Pride Day next month. In Philadelphia, Pagan Pride Day will take place on Saturday, sep 1 (Labor Day weekend) in much-loved Clark Park, at 43rd St. & Chester Ave. in West Philadelphia.

Followers of alternative spiritual paths will gather to express their sense of community in religious diversity, to show their solidarity to society as a whole -- and to meet each other and have a great time together! The gathering will begin at 11 a.m. and last until 5 p.m.

Ritual demonstration will enliven the day, including a Shinto/Zen ceremony, a demonstration by Llynnedd Grove and a piece of sacred drama by OTO.

Please bring a donation of non-perishable foodstuffs as part of our charitable commitment to feed the needy. Lunch will be a potluck picnic.

For further information, contact Franklin Evans at themadeone@dvpn.org.
